Everyday I Hope
I cross your mind
as you cross mines
Hoping to have a conversation with you about the first time our eyes cross paths
Giggles as I hear your soft voice
Smiling so hard as if it was safety pin on
Every time you write to me
I get all happy inside
like the girl who sits across from the hottest guy in class
When he looks at her, she smiles
not knowing he’s means the world to her
when you look at me
my heart beats to the rhythm of a song
every night I dream among the stars, dreaming of you
The smile on my face is happy when we talk
Yet my words in my mouth fall on deaf ears
Ears that listen to everyone but me
Patently I wait, hoping these words these poems
Light the flame that once burn, burn for us
So I wait patently cuz my flame will always burn for you
